Our centre in Holland Park offers highly intensive courses for adults, that are practical and relevant. Our clients range from very senior business and professional people and VIPs to relatively young pre-experience professionals. We run group courses as well as substantial 1-1 tuition programmes and much of our work involves ESP including, for example, English for Law.
The launch of our Young Adult Summer centre in 2024 is the next exciting step in our development. We plan to deliver an unrivalled summer programme for 15–17-year-olds that reflects the same high standards we have for our adult courses. We are looking for the right person to join our company to be responsible for the development and delivery of this part of our business.

Job Summary
- We are looking for a motivated and experienced person to join us on a full-time permanent basis as our Head of Young Adults Summer Programme. This is a new project, and we are looking for the right person to join us in the development stages and have real input into
creating the courses we plan to deliver. You will be responsible for developing and running all aspects of the summer programme, including developing our offering, recruitment of your teams and supporting the sales team. This role requires a strong background in running juniors’ programmes, dynamic leadership skills and project management skills. The right candidate knows what quality looks like and has a passion for delivering a truly memorable experience for the course participants.
Responsibilities
Development of the Young Adults courses:
• Lead the development and coordinate the delivery of our high-quality, engaging summer courses for young adults.
• Devise focused and engaging visits and source inspiring lecturers to build on the course content delivered in class.
• Have a constant focus on quality and ensuring we have a premium offering.
• Continually innovate and improve the course offering, engaging with team members on a regular basis.
• Be part of setting the budget and be responsible for reporting back to the senior management team on the progression of bookings and profitability margins
• Research trends and developments around the education of Young Adults to contribute to senior team discussions on future development and product innovation.
Operational Management:
When the courses are running, these duties will be carried out onsite at the venue and accommodation.
• Oversee all aspects of the summer school delivery including recruitment, logistics and scheduling of trainers, social programme and support staff.
• Co-ordinate between teams to ensure smooth delivery for our clients and an engaging work environment for colleagues.
• Organise all travel and transport logistics for excursions, airport transfers and course related visits.
• Lead the team responsible for the safeguarding and well-being of all students for the entirety of their stay with us
Managing Teams:
• Recruitment of all teams needed to run the summer school, adhering to the British Council’s Safer Recruitment policy at all times.
• Responsible for observations, appraisals and CPD opportunities for summer teams to promote professional growth.
• Contribute to an inclusive, motivating work environment that embodies our company values.
• Provide leadership and guidance to your teams throughout the preparation and delivery of the Young Adult courses.
Sales and Marketing:
• Work closely with the Sales team to ensure a smooth booking process for all clients.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on the development of promotional material to attract clients to the Young Adults courses.
• Provide training and information sessions for the Sales and Marketing team on developments of the course offering and related activities.
• Along with the sales team, develop ETO relationships including attending conferences and occasional overseas visits where appropriate.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
• Right to work in the UK
• DELTA qualified
• Safeguarding level 2
• Minimum 5 years’ experience running summer programmes for teenagers.
• A passion for delivering outstanding quality and memorable experiences.
• Proven project management experience in the education sector.
• Proven leadership skills including nurturing and developing a team.
• Exceptional organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with all stakeholders.
Desirable
• DELTM qualified.
• Project management qualification.
• Qualification related to teaching young learners.
• Safeguarding level 3
Renumeration
Package: £50-55k for exceptional candidates (including annual completion bonus), plus pension and benefits.
Location: Hybrid working, but working from our Holland Park, London centre 3 days per week and full time on site at the venue and accommodation when the courses are running in the summer.
Start date: September, 2023 or earlier
