The London School of English at BESIG Prague
Earlier this month, two of our staff went to Prague to speak at the BESIG Annual Conference. Our trainer Ed Pegg ran an interesting workshop on active listening. Ed says, “Active listening is all about building relationships with people by showing empathy and understanding. It is a key skill in international business, and it’s an area I’m passionate about.”
Courses Development Manager Andy Johnson gave a practical session on using technology in the classroom. Andy said, “I had a great crowd on Sunday morning who were all involved and engaged in my workshop. I hope that they went away with some great ideas on how they can use some of our ideas in their own teaching.” You can see Andy’s presentation here.
BESIG is the Business English Special Interest Group of IATEFL and the Prague event was their 26th Annual Conference. The aim of the group is to bring together professionals from around the world to represent the interests and serving the needs of the international business English teaching community. You can find out more about BESIG here, and you can see Andy giving a webinar on materials writing for BESIG on Sunday December 1st at 1500 CET.
