Carol
My name is Carol, I am a qualified English and TESOL teacher with a PGDip (Post Graduate Diploma) in English and Art History. a Degree in English, a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate) in Secondary English, a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate) in SEN (Special Educational Needs) and a Trinity Cert TEFL.
I worked in Education as Head of English, Head teacher and Director of Education for 20 years before gaining my Trinity Cert TESOL and moving into further education and British Council accredited Language schools.
I have taught students from 5 to 65 years old, and from beginners to proficiency level. My students come from all over the world including Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, Russia and Poland.
I have three grown up children, Stewart, Sophie and Camilla and four grandchildren. We enjoy spending time together. I like Art, photography, traveling, cooking, gardening, eating, reading, writing and teaching English.
Staying in Somerset (The West Country)
Carol’s traditional house is located in the historic town of Street, known for manufacturing Clarks shoes. With views of the Mendhip Hills, the town is surrounded by stunning countryside. From Street you can take a trip to Glastonbury, famous for its Tor (Hill), a tower and is notable for myths and legends. Cheddar Gorge is also nearby. From here you can enjoy stunning walks and incredible caves.
